If you bought the manual and CD-ROM, you can install BLS-2026 from the disc. Follow these steps.

 

1.Sign in to Windows with an account that has Administrator rights.

2.Put the CD-ROM in your computer’s drive.

oIf a menu opens, click Install a CDE Software Product, then click BLS-2026, then click Install BLS-2026 Professional/AutoScoring.

oIf nothing opens after 10–15 seconds, continue with step 3.

3.Open the installer manually:

oPress Windows + E to open File Explorer.

oClick This PC, then double-click your CD/DVD drive.

oLook for a file named Setup.exe, StartHere.exe, or the installer for BLS-2026, and double-click it.

oIf needed, right-click the file and choose Run as administrator.

4.If Windows darkens the screen and asks for permission, click Yes. If it asks for an Administrator name and password, enter your Windows Admin login (this is not a BLS-2026 password).

5.Follow the on-screen steps:

oClick Next through the welcome screens.

oRead and accept the license.

oChoose the install folder (the default is fine).

oClick Install and wait for it to finish.

oClick Finish.

6.If Windows asks you to restart, save your work and restart.

7.Eject the CD-ROM. Open BLS-2026 from the Start menu. Look under All apps if you don’t see it right away.

 

Tips

•If you don’t have a CD/DVD drive, use an external USB CD/DVD drive or download the installer from www.cdesoftware.com.

•If SmartScreen shows a warning, click More info, then Run anyway if you trust CDE Software.

•Keep the CD-ROM in a safe place for future reinstalls.
